When I was a kid this world was a creation of mine,
cos the real me wasnt hidden behind the worlds definition of fine.
Theres a fine line between trying and trying too hard,
The latters a version of lying that leaves our inner child harshly scarred.
Societies constantly implying that we cant be ourselves,
marketing image and fashion to sell their stuff off store shelves.
We drown out warning bells with confirmation from the crowd,
replacing genuine emotions with the ones we'r allowed.
Well i refuse to be grey in a race of colourless clones,
as they breed all these nations of lame material drones.
They cant steal my animation and uniqueness from me,
and likewise ill try not to judge others who dont quite agree.
Following the flock only leads to a shared sheep's reward,
leaving infinite personal potential behind forgotten closed doors.
Im inspired to grow, knowing Im doing the best that I can,
instead of being so controlling let God weave His perfect mesh of a plan. Dont wreck this great chance to choose our own cards from the deck, and if you accept the different hands people have then massive respek!
